I missed the October link up with Farley, so I couldn't miss November!
Saturday always seems to have a Law & Order marathon. I've actually watched 2 episodes that I haven't seen. Love it! Right up there with NCIS and Criminal Minds.
I just started working on my Director of Technology certification. So far, I have taken a class on Digital Citizenship/Internet Safety. That was really interesting. That class was perfect timing. Our district is working on lessons for digital citizenship. Right now, I'm taking a True Technology Integration class. It is so good! We are analyzing different videos based on the level of technology integration. Here is a video that is great. Restaurant Project. Ahh, finding the time to integrate to this degree. Should add that to my "wanting" section.
I woke up and realized there is no coffee in my house! How can that be? I resorted to Vanilla Chai tea. It's yummy, but just not coffee. My family is off to a friend's ranch, so I think I might head to The Corner Bakery for a lovely breakfast and some much needed coffee!
Needing-add a massage! The color and cut are desperately needed!
I love to play Jesse Cook in my class. It is guitar music that is a bit peppy, but not distracting.
Happy November everyone!
WOW, I just watched Restaurant Project. Super cool. You are making me think...how could I make this work in first grade? Thanks for the link. Good luck with your class-it sounds so interesting.

I know, right! Loved it. I think the music helped. :-)
DeleteI loved the mentor text portion. You could have your students bring in various to-go menus.
Create a class restaurant!
LOVE the idea!

Wow your technology class does sound very interesting! I understand how finding the time to get what your learning into your classroom is challenging...usually rewarding in the end...but challenging! :)

I'm jealous! How wonderful for your students.
DeleteI'm heading over to your blog!
I'm a new follower! Gotta love those 5th grade bloggers : ) Sorry there's no coffee at your house. That is a need.

Thanks! Heading over to your blog.
DeleteDidn't know you were working on that certification - how cool! I feel so guilty that I don't use much technology in my class. We are a large school with limited technology (1 computer lab that 850 students share allegedly for integration but that is now used for RtI). Ugh. Miss you!

I just started the certification. It's through TCEA. You won't believe who I saw at the Google Summit last weekend! Suzanne Dryer! It was great getting caught up.
DeleteBummer about the limited technology and using the computer lab for RTI. Are you guys using iStation?
I have been using Google docs for the writing process. It is so nice to be able to comment on their document! The kids are loving it. We need to get together for lunch.
I love Law & Order! I always end up staying up late watching it when my husband goes out of town. Then I try to go to bed. Bad move. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
