Monday Made It and Summer PD Books

I soooo need to get a blogging planner! That is going to be one of my next Monday Made It items! Does anyone have a "go to" place for creating a super cute blogging organization planner?

This is my "blah" picture! They get better...
Now, that I'm looking a these cork boards in the picture, not too thrilling! I added a bit of Chevron ribbon to match my tech office decor! (Those pictures are coming soon.)
I'm hoping when they are up on the wall with the very cute magnetic board...they will look fabulous and funky! This part...to be continued!

Today, I took my daughter and niece to Michaels. My daughter needed some fun stickers to decorate her plastic drawers she's taking to camp. While there, I thought...Do they have any Washi tape?
Lo and behold...they do! Tons of it!

Having never worked with it and really wanting to cover my computer cord...see post, I only bought one pack which actually had two rolls in it!
Found this old acrylic desk organizer and thought it needed a bit of pizzazz!

Found a clipboard in my craft closet! Why not throw on a bit of Washi tape? My daughter is now eyeing it! Lovin' the Washi tape!

Love the dollar section at Michaels!  I found these super cute frames. I added the numbers to them. My first thought was for stations. I will use them in some fashion for technology professional development!

At the beginning of summer, I ordered these books from Amazon.  They just came in!

Of course, I had to do my own "Picture Walk" with all 3 books! Where should I start? I couldn't decide, they all looked good, so I let my daughter pick.

Drum roll, please.....................Genre Connections, it is! Last summer I read Comprehension Connections and loved it.

Is anyone doing a book study on this book?

  6. I bought the same frames! I recommend Genre Connections. I read it at the end of last school year and immediately tried some of her ideas. I think her ideas in Genre Connections are geared more to upper elementary than Comprehension Connections. Plus, some of the connections are based on objects, and you can make the lessons your own by using objects that apply to you. (I could go on and on.)
I have seen Word Nerds on several blogs. If you read that one first, please blog about it!
