Linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for a week of 5 pics!
Our school has a live news program called WNL. Green screen, sound board, and teleprompter (tv).
As the new Instructional Technology Specialist, my job was to take over our news each morning. I had NO idea what to do! Thank goodness for my daughter! For the past 2 years she has been part of the news team. She has learned every aspect of the broadcasting! I literally mean, the whole thing. All I do is pull up the script and she takes it from there! One proud mama!
These are the days when I love my job! One of our teachers is part of the Global Read Aloud! The last few days we have worked on preparing for her Skype session with a class from Wisconsin and North Carolina. I got to be part of the Wisconsin discussion. Each class got to know each other through questioning. Our Texas kids ... let's just say ... questions revolved around snow! Too funny!
We have some fabulous art teachers! Love these!
One of our second grade teachers created an Edmodo account for her advanced readers. Loved seeing them log in, answer a poll question and post their favorite type of book. Can't wait to see what is next!
Last pic...our decked out house! Hard to see, but there are big spiders on the columns of our front porch. Our gate has webs and glow-in-the dark spiders. My daughter seems to think we need more... uh, no.
Love the decorations on your house! I actually decided this year I wasn't going to climb up in the attic and get it all down but now I sort of want to spend my long weekend decorating and making everything cute! Maybe I'll just decorate for "fall" so it can stay up through Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great week! I never thought to use Edmodo for Book Clubs!

My Shoe String Life
Originally, I put out a few items, went to the back to iron and came back to find my daughter standing on the cabinets in the laundry room getting the rest out! We had fun.
DeleteAww, that definitely is a proud Mum moment! I LOVE your house! It is cute anyway without all the decorations!

Teaching Maths with Meaning
Thanks! I love my house...it was my grandparents' house. We bought it from the family and did a bit of renovating! Lots of special memories.
DeleteYour daughter looks like a real news director! Loved the Frankenstein and back cat-pinned it!
ReplyDeleteShe's even got the ...cue, "You're on Camera" finger point going on! :) Too funny!
DeleteUH LOVE your house... looks like you are having fun!!!! and your daughter might be the new Shelley Miles or Ursula Perry... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Watch out WOAI and KSAT! :)
DeleteLove your house! I have always wanted a craftsman style home. I would like to know more about Edmodo. Sounds like it could be interesting.

Polka Dot Lesson Plans
At first, I wasn't sure about the door...gotta have a wreath on it at all times, but it has worked out nicely!
DeleteI just wrote a reply on another blog that I would be lost without Edmodo. We use it every day in my class. I love it!
